Here's a little reminder from us to take care of your heart. One of the easiest ways to do that is to ensure a daily intake of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA.
We all know that a healthy diet combined with physical activity is important for good health. However, it is not always easy to implement all the different health tips, recommendations and dietary advice that flow around us daily. However, there are some tips that you should take with you along the way.
Here's a little reminder from us to take care of your heart. One of the easiest ways to do that is to ensure a daily intake of the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, and now we're going to learn a little about them.
Eat omega-3 for the heart
As part of a healthy lifestyle, a daily intake of the marine omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA can help the heart maintain its normal function.* You can get these fatty acids from fatty fish, among other things, and that is one of the reasons why the Public Health Agency of Sweden recommends that all adults eat fish for dinner 2-3 times a week 1. An omega-3 dietary supplement can be an important addition for those of you who do not eat enough fish.

A dietary supplement for heart health
Almost all types of omega-3 are good for you, but some types of omega-3 supplements are more easily absorbed than others, and now you're going to learn a little about what makes Romega so special.
The omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA are structural components of cells – including the heart. Romega is an extract from herring roe, which contains omega-3s of the same type of fat found in the cell membrane of your heart. This type of fat is called phospholipids.
What is special about EPA and DHA phospholipids?
The fact that Romega contains EPA and DHA bound in phospholipids affects how easily the body can absorb the fatty acids. There are studies that suggest that omega-3 fatty acids from phospholipids are absorbed faster in the body than the corresponding traditional fatty acids (triglycerides) 2. The phospholipid-bound omega-3 in Romega is therefore a good and easily absorbable source of EPA and DHA to maintain heart health.
A daily intake of 250 mg of DHA and EPA contributes to maintaining normal heart function. Two capsules of Romega contain 1000 mg of fish oil with phospholipids, of which 320 mg is DHA and 100 mg is EPA. So you don't need more than two capsules per day to achieve a beneficial effect.
Therefore, you should take care of your heart.
The heart is a muscle that works constantly throughout life. The heart's job is to transport blood to all the organs in the body so that they get the nutrients they need to perform their tasks. The heart does this by pumping oxygen- and nutrient-rich blood around the body. To do this important work, the average heart beats about 100,000 times a day. It goes without saying that a normally functioning heart is important for good health.
We know that some health tips require more effort than others. In that case, it may be good to remember that a little is better than nothing. Two capsules of Romega with breakfast is a simple and low-demand investment in heart health.
*) Beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.
