Romega® differs from traditional omega-3 products in that it contains oil from Norwegian herring roe, which has a number of unique nutrients for health.
In herring roe oil, the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA are bound to phospholipids. The special properties of the phospholipids mean that the DHA and EPA fatty acids are absorbed more quickly, and you avoid an unpleasant fishy taste in your mouth. *
Romega® also contains the essential nutrient choline, which is a fundamental building block for all cells in the body. Choline is also central to fat and cholesterol metabolism in the body and to the formation of the brain neurotransmitter, acetylcholine.***
The updated Nordic Nutritional Recommendations (NNR2023) recognize the importance of choline as part of a healthy diet.
