Herring roe – a treasure trove of nutrients for your health
Herring is a nutritious treasure from the sea – and the roe is its most precious jewel. From it we extract herring roe oil, a natural source of the omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, as well as other important nutrients that promote the body's health. The extraction is advanced, but at Arctic Bioscience, we have developed methods through groundbreaking research that ensure high quality and precision in every drop.
Romega® – more than omega-3
Herring roe oil differs from other omega-3 sources through its unique composition of fatty acids and nutrients. It contains not only EPA and DHA – important for the heart, brain and vision. The phospholipids contribute to higher bioavailability and faster absorption in the body compared to regular fish oil. With Romega ® you also avoid unpleasant fish scratches.

SPM - specialized Pro-Resolving Mediators
Herring roe oil contains SPMs (Specialized Pro-Resolving Mediators).
SPMs are signaling substances in the body that are formed from omega-3 fatty acids and other unsaturated fatty acids, and represent a new and groundbreaking area of research in fatty acid research.
Studies to date suggest that SPMs may play an important role in the body's regulation of inflammatory processes.
At Arctic Bioscience, we are proud to be at the forefront of our active research into herring roe oil and its content of SPMs.
Choline - important for several functions in the body
Choline is an essential nutrient that the body needs for cell function, fat metabolism and to form the neurotransmitter acetylcholine – crucial for brain communication.
Romega® naturally contains choline which actively supports the building of cell membranes, especially in nerve cells, and plays a key role in brain health and function.
The world's most sustainable resource from the sea
